| 18128. FREUDIANISM VERSUS BEHAVIORISM. This paper compares the psychological worldviews of Freudianism and Behaviorism. Both worldviews are based on scientific assumptions and both acknowledge the existence of determinism (i.e., there are forces that influence human lives). However, Freudianism emphasizes the influence of the unconscious mind (which can't be directly observed but can be accessed through dream interpretation and other techniques) and Behaviorism emphasizes the influence of environmental reinforcements (which have an observable impact on behavior). KEYWORDS: psychology worldviews determinism Freudianism Behaviorism. Written 2006. MLA Style. 5 pages, 13 footnotes, 5 bibliographic sources. 1,342 words. | $35 |
