Focusing most closely on the likely economic impact of the Microsoft antitrust case, this term paper provides an prospective overview and analysis of the impact of the expected break-up of Microsoft on the market power of the company itself and industry competitors, the market and innovators for operating systems, the industry, and the consumer.
